Hulusport

This review is for players outside Ethiopia: the Ethiopian Lottery Service suspended the licences of all operators.

Checked 25 August 2026: the site is up, the sportsbook is not. Hulusport loads and the instant games work, but the fixture board is empty. It reads “THE BOARD WENT OFF-AIR: we couldn’t pull the latest fixtures.”

An operator that went to court

Hulusport deserves more attention than the others on this list, and not for its odds. When the Ethiopian Lottery Service revoked every licence in December 2025, most companies went quiet, changed nothing, or vanished and left customers holding balances. Hulusport went to court.

It won on procedural grounds at the Federal High Court, and a stay was granted afterwards, so the matter is not settled and the market has not reopened. I want to be careful here: winning on procedure is not the same as being cleared, and nothing in that ruling says the company was in the right on anything else.

What it does say is that somebody there decided to argue in front of a judge rather than walk away. After nine months of watching operators go dark on Ethiopian bettors without a word, I notice that.

And then you try to place a bet

The football never loads. Where the fixtures belong there is a dotted outline of a pitch, a tag reading OFFLINE, and a line of copy somebody clearly enjoyed writing: the board went off-air, we could not pull the latest fixtures, check your line and give it another whistle.

I gave it another whistle. Same thing. The sports panel down the left side is an empty heading with nothing beneath it, and the search box returns nothing because there is nothing to search.

On the right, the betslip is fully built and waiting. Three tabs, a coupon-code lookup, a Quick Pick button, the stake box already filled in at 100, an accept-all-odd-changes toggle and a Book Bet button. Every part of it works. None of it has anything to act on.

Follow what is still switched on

Instant games load fine. Aviator, JetX, Fast Keno, MultiHot5 and the Chicken game all sit in the top menu and all of them open. So does the Promos tab. So, and this is the part I keep returning to, does the Affiliate tab.

Read that arrangement the way you would read a system after an incident. A live fixture feed is a recurring monthly cost paid to a data supplier, and it is off. The instant games are self-contained and they are on. The affiliate programme, the thing that recruits new players, is still sitting in the main navigation.

That is not a company that has stopped. It is a company that has stopped paying for one particular thing, while keeping the machinery that brings people in. I would want to know why before I deposited.

That line sits in the footer and I believe it more here than I would on most sites. The interface switches between Amharic and English properly rather than through machine translation. The 18+ mark is where it should be. There are real Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Responsible Betting, How To Bet and FAQ pages rather than five dead links, which is more housekeeping than most of this market bothers with.

Compare that with BestBet, whose language switcher offers Swahili and whose footer carries no company information at all. Hulusport reads like something built for one market by people in it.

Missing from the page

There is no licence statement anywhere on the site. Nothing about the December revocation. And nothing at all about the court case the company itself brought, which is the single most interesting fact about this operator.

A player arriving today would learn none of it from Hulusport. I find that stranger here than elsewhere, because this is the one company on the list with something to say in its own defence and it is not saying it.

Deposits and withdrawals

The cashier sits behind registration, so I could not verify payment methods, minimums or processing times. On an operator whose sportsbook feed has been switched off, the question of whether the cashier still runs is the one that matters most, and I cannot answer it from outside.

If you hold a balance with Hulusport, request a withdrawal now rather than waiting to see whether the football comes back. And tell me what happens, because that single data point would be worth more than everything else on this page.

Verdict

Two out of five, and I would happily move it up. Of everything I checked, this is the operator I would most like to see return properly, because it argued its corner in public instead of disappearing on the people who trusted it, and because the housekeeping suggests somebody there still cares how the thing is run.

But I am scoring what is on the screen. Right now the screen says the board went off-air, and you cannot place a bet on a site with no matches.
